Fernandes identifies Man Utd successor

Bruno Fernandes has reportedly told Manchester United to pursue the signing of a Premier League star whom he has identified as his successor.

Fernandes has been United’s most important player since his arrival in 2020 but the 31-year-old has already cast his eyes to the future amid speculation surrounding his future at the club.

And, according to The Sun, the United skipper has recommended his Portuguese namesake Matheus Fernandes as the player he believes can follow in his footsteps at Old Trafford.

The West Ham youngster named Bruno as his idol after making his debut for Portugal last week and he has impressed this season after a €44 million transfer from Sporting last summer.

United ‘make opening bid’ for €100m Diomande

Manchester United have reportedly submitted an opening bid for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande amid their pursuit of a new left winger this summer.

Diomande, 19, has been a revelation since arriving at Leipzig from Leganes last year and his immense form for the Bundesliga giants has attracted the attention of scouts from across European football in recent months.

Manchester United are also interested in signing Diomande and they have earmarked him as one of their top targets for this summer as they look to further bolster the attacking options available at Old Trafford.

According to transfer reporter IndyKaila, Man Utd have already submitted an opening bid for the winger, who is valued at over €100 million by Leipzig.

Chelsea eye €60m goalkeeper

Chelsea have a ‘strong interest’ in Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs after the Dutch youngster’s impressive start to life in the Premier League.

Roefs only joined Sunderland last summer for €10.5m but the 23-year-old has proven instrumental to the Mackems’ high rise this season.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea are assessing whether to pay up to €60m for Roefs but they will also face interest from Liverpool and Manchester City in any race for the Sunderland star.

The Brazil international has just over one year remaining on his deal at the Bernabeu and he has been heavily linked with a high-profile exit for the past few months, with Los Blancos yet to finalise an agreement with his representatives.

Intermediaries have contacted Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United to discuss the 25-year-old’s potential availability, as per TEAMtalk, while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have been approached too.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia are also expected to battle for Vinicius’ signature, although it remains to be seen if he will accept a move to the Middle East at this stage of his career.

Arsenal ready to submit ‘formal offer’ for €100m Gyokeres replacement

Arsenal are ready to submit a “formal offer” for Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane during the 2026 summer transfer window, according to reports in Germany.

Mikel Arteta’s side are keen to sign a new centre forward this summer, with Gabriel Jesus potentially set to depart, and Kofane has been earmarked as a possible alternative to fellow targets Julian Alvarez and Nicolo Tresoldi.

Arsenal are one of the frontrunners to secure Kofane’s signature ahead of the 2026-27 campaign and German reporter Christian Falk has confirmed the Gunners are expected to lodge a “formal offer” for the Cameroon international this summer.
