Oliver Glasner has insisted he has no regrets over his emotional outburst in January where he hit out at Crystal Palace’s hierarchy.
The Eagles boss, who will leave the club at the end of the season, said he felt ‘abandoned’ at the club in a bombshell interview in January.

A day after announcing that captain Marc Guehi was set to leave for Manchester City and that he himself would not extend his contract, Glasner took aim at the Palace hierarchy.
Following a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland in their first match without Guehi, the Austrian slammed the timing of the sale 24 hours before a match, which left him without an immediate replacement.
His outburst came amid a dismal run of form, with Palace winless in ten at the time and they also suffered a humiliating FA Cup exit to non-league Macclesfield.
Results didn’t get much better after his explosive comments in the media, and speculation began that Glasner could be sacked before the end of the season, with some fans turning on him.
But after turbulent start to 2026, his side have found form again recently, losing just once in their last six games in all competitions.
This includes an extra-time victory over Cypriot side AEK Larnaca in the Conference League to send the Eagles into the quarter-finals.
As the season reaches a crucial stage, Glasner remains in with a chance of clinching another trophy, after guiding the club to their first ever major honours with FA Cup glory last term. Palace then beat Liverpool in the Community Shield at the start of the season.
Glasner: Owners weren’t pleased with bombshell interview
In an exclusive interview with eSPORTY’s Jim White on the Outspoken podcast, Glasner was asked if have any regrets over his comments in the media.
To this, the 51-year-old replied: “I don’t have regrets, honestly.
“I’m very honest. I never tell somebody what he wants to hear, I always tell them what is my opinion, what is my feeling. It doesn’t mean that it’s always right.

“But I think everybody deserves to hear how I’m feeling, how I see some things that happened or that’s going on.
“Not everybody has to be delighted with my opinion, to be honest.”
Despite insisting he wouldn’t change anything, Glasner admitted his explosive comments weren’t well received by the Palace owners.
eSPORTY reported at the time that his shock departure announcement had come as a surprise to senior figures at the club, who had been unaware beforehand of his plans to share the news.
Asked how the Eagles ownership responded to the saga, Glasner said: “Honestly, I think they were not really pleased.
“But we talked about it and they could understand me. I think the players, especially.

“For me, the most important part is always the players and they know me. They know that I’m honest and they could deal with it.”
Reflecting on a turbulent period, Glasner defended his decision to air his frustrations over Guehi’s exit, which he said the players felt too.
He added: “In this special moment, we felt it. I felt it, the players felt it.
“The day before a game with some injury concerns, for me, I had to get rid of it.”
Insisting he shares the owners’ ambitions, he added: “There is one main goal – we all want the best for Crystal Palace.
“It’s the players, it’s the manager, it’s the staff and it’s the chairman. And then it’s important that not everybody says: ‘Yeah, it’s good what you’re doing’ because I think you need discussions that bring the club forward.

“And I think when we look back at the two years where I’m in charge, we brought the club forward.”
What does the future hold?
With the end of his Crystal Palace tenure approaching, Glasner refused to shed much light on what could be next for him.
Asked if he would like to stay in the Premier League, he said: “To be honest, I don’t know right now.
“For me, it’s really the focus on having a great end to the season. We still have a lot to achieve. We’re not too far away from the European places in the Premier League. We’re in the quarter-final of a European competition.
“So now we’re entering crunch time and we have to have the players fit. And so I’m really 100 per cent focused on the end of the season.
“And then what I learned in football, I’ve now been in football for more than 30 years – you can’t plan anything. Things happen or they don’t happen. So I’m really open and let’s see what the summer brings.
“But again, for me, the most important thing is now having a great end to the season, having a great end to more than two years with Crystal Palace and then celebrating all together.”
