UCLA superstar Lauren Betts sat out several minutes of the women’s national championship game after appearing to suffer a mysterious issue with her throat.
During the first quarter of Sunday’s clash against the South Carolina Gamecocks, Betts could be seen hunched over on the bench coughing into a towel.
She appeared to be complaining to UCLA staff that something was stuck in her throat. Betts eventually returned to the game early in the second quarter as UCLA raced into the lead.
