A 3-1 win at St. James’ Park set up a meeting with the Reds, who knocked out Wolves at Molineux with a 3-1 victory of their own.
Mohamed Salah scored in that game, and this will be his first outing since announcing he will be leaving the club this summer.
In the two Premier League rivals’ meetings so far this season, it’s Man City who have come out on top in both.
City won 3-0 at the Etihad in November before then going to Anfield in early February and winning 2-1 in dramatic fashion.

City don’t have too many fitness issues in their squad, with John Stones getting closer to a comeback.
Ruben Dias has a hamstring problem, while Josko Gvardiol is expected to make a return from his knock at the end of April.
As for Liverpool, they were hit with a potential injury blow over the international break with Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong had to be substituted for the Netherlands and is now a doubt for the FA Cup quarter-final.
Meanwhile, Salah will hope to be back fit after a break, but Alisson is set to remain out and Alexander Isak, despite returning to training this week, isn’t expected to feature either.
And Wataru Endo, Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley are all still sidelined for the Reds with long-term injuries.

Guardiola would love to add a third FA Cup to his cabinet this season, having already claimed the Carabao Cup.
The City boss has spoken about how much he loves this competition after making it through to the quarter-finals.
“I love the FA Cup, it was a part of my life when I was a boy,” he said.
“I think that after 10 years, I don’t like a few things in this country, but there are a lot of things I love and this is one.
“This country they respect the traditions and no other country can do that.
“This combination of new things and respect for the old things, I love the UK for that.”
