Gabriel Jesus has disclosed why he remains highly confident that Arsenal will clinch the Premier League title. The Gunners currently hold a nine-point advantage over Manchester City at the summit with seven matches of the campaign left to play.
Despite finishing as runners-up on three successive occasions, Jesus has not downplayed his belief that Arsenal will finally cross the line this time around, with specific praise for how effectively Mikel Arteta has constructed the squad.
When questioned on ‘Rio Ferdinand presents’ about his level of confidence, Jesus responded: “Very confident [we will win the title],” Jesus was quoted on The Mirror. “Very confident, because we are in a good place and then we have [an] amazing squad.

“Not only who play a lot of games, but squad. Like me, obviously, the last few games I haven’t been playing a lot, but still I know myself and then I know Mikel knows this.
“I can come on and then I can decide a game, or I can play one game and then I still can decide again, you know. And with me it’s the same with Leo, it’s the same with Bukayo, it’s the same with Noni, it’s the same with Martinelli, with Kai. I’m saying about the attacking players.
“So it’s good. If you see our attacking players, it’s amazing. So I believe, I believe 100 per cent that this season we are doing something.” Pressed on the mentality transformation under Arteta, Jesus disclosed: “Obviously it’s Mikko, you know, because he changed everything. Like I said, we said before, he came in a moment that was tough.
“And then to see the way we play, the situation we have now, that we can win titles, you know, we are one of the best clubs in the world, teams in the world. So I think it’s Mikko Arteta, he had a lot of impact, you know.”
