Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa has disclosed that he’s working hard to make the England final squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Konsa made this known after the Three Lions’ 1-0 loss to Japan in an international friendly at the Wembley Stadium on Tuesday.
Speaking after the game, Konsa stated that making England final squad for the tournament remains his biggest priority.

However, he noted that he’ll have to fight for his place despite lots of competition in the team.
“I don’t think I’m cemented in there,” said Konsa. “I don’t take it for granted. I have to make sure I keep working, keep improving.
“There is a lot of competition, a lot of top class centre-halves. I have to make sure I go back and stay consistent for the last two months.”
