Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Atalanta defender Honest Ahanor, reports Completesports.com.
The Spanish giants have reportedly been scouting the highly rated 18-year-old in recent months, according to Sky Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Ahanor, a left-footed centre-back who can also operate at left-back, joined Atalanta from Genoa last summer in a deal worth €17 million.
Despite his young age, the Italy U-21 international has quickly become an important figure in Atalanta’s defence.

He has made 28 appearances across all competitions this season, including nine in the UEFA Champions League, and has contributed one goal.
Madrid’s interest comes as they prepare for the expected departures of experienced defenders David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger.
The duo are set to see their contracts expire at the end of June.
Ahanor was born in Italy to Nigerian parents.
