Arsenal’s Nigerian-born winger, Noni Madueke has been ruled out of The Gunners’ English FA Cup quarter-final clash with Southampton this weekend, following an injury he copped on international duty.

Sports247 gathered that, aside the upcoming Cup fixture for which The Gunners will not have the former Chelsea of England star, Arsenal will also be without Madueke’s services for next week’s UEFA Champions League fixture.
What appeared to be a minor knock to the knee has now been diagnosed as a major problem, which could keep the Nigerian-born star out for much longer even beyond next week’s trip to Portugal against Sporting Lisbon in the UCL.
Arsenal’s coach, Mikel Arteta will hope to have Madueke back along the line, after The Gunners game in Lisbon next week Tuesday, as they will host Bournemouth on Saturday, April 11 and welcome Sporting to Emirates Stadium on April 15th.
A report by UK’s Mirror tabloid noted, “Madueke started England’s 1-1 draw against Uruguay last Friday but was withdrawn in the 38th minute after hitting the ground following a challenge from Rodrigo Aguirre.
“The 24-year-old hobbled to the touchline and was substituted by West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen before heading straight down the tunnel. After the match, Madueke walked through the mixed zone wearing a knee brace.
“(He also) appeared in obvious discomfort, sparking concerns that he has a serious problem … Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel admitted he was worried about Madueke’s injury (and) said on Monday that he would be out for some days.”
