Tuchel has only had part of his 35-man squad in training ahead of the Uruguay clash, with tonight’s game an audition for many.
It means Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, Lewis Hall, Fikayo Tomori and Dominic Solanke could get a start to show they deserve a place.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers are just some of the names not featuring.
As for Uruguay, ex-Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez could start, along with in-form Real Madrid superstar Federico Valverde.

James Garner could also be one of the players to get a start tonight, with an appearance handing him his first cap for the senior side.
“He [Tuchel] messaged me and said that we need a call,” Everton’s Garner said on being called up for England.

“We had the call and it was a very positive one and I was very happy. I didn’t tell anybody because I knew the squad was going out the next day.
“So on the way to training, I rang my mum and my dad and my brother and stuff and let them know.
“But I just wanted to digest it myself, so I didn’t even tell anyone.”
He added: “I hope it’d come. I felt personally, I’ve had a good season.
“It’s probably the best I’ve played since I’ve started, so I was very confident and hoping that I would get the call-up.
“I kind of told myself at the start of the season that this season has to be the season that I can show everyone what I can do. I think so far, I have done.”
