Bayern chief fears Harry Kane will be swayed by Saudi Arabia payday

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß is worried that Harry Kane may be swayed by a mega Saudi pay packet.

Kane is enjoying a record-breaking season for the Bavarian powerhouse and talks regarding a new deal until 2028 or 2029 have already taken place.

“We are talking to Harry. Everyone knows at some point a decision has to be made,” Bayern sporting director Max Eberl told Sky Germany earlier this year.

However, Hoeneß is still concerned that Kane could be lured away from the Allianz Arena with a move to the Middle East a possibility.

Keep Calm and Harry On

Speaking to Kicker, the Bayern supremo said: “He didn’t exercise his release clause, which means he’s definitely under contract here until summer 2027.

“What I’m hearing and feeling is that he and his family feel extremely comfortable here.

“You never know when a Saudi comes along and puts a lot of money on the table… But he feels very much at home.”

Hoeneß also praised Kane’s lifestyle and believes that the England captain has many years left at the pinnacle of European football.

“Harry Kane can play at this level for at least another three or four years, because he’s a perfect professional who takes care of his body,” the 74-year-old said.

“He’s always at rehab and with the physios.”
