The Confederation of African (CAF) has appointed Nigeria’s Samson Adamu as its Acting General Secretary, reports Completesports.com.
Adamu succeeds Veron Mosengo-Omba of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who recently stepped down from the role.
Veron Mosengo-Omba is contesting for the presidency of the Fédération Congolaise de Football Association.

Adamu currently serves as the Director of Competitions at CAF.
The young administrator has earned widespread respect for his behind-the-scenes role in managing the logistics of major continental tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations, the CAF Champions League, and the CAF Confederation Cup.
He is the son of Amos Adamu, a former member of the FIFA Executive Committee who was banned from football in 2010 over a corruption scandal.
