Akwa United FC have been reported to the Nigeria Soccer Federation (NFF) Gamers’ Standing/Arbitration Committee (PSAC) over alleged persistent failure to honour a binding monetary determination involving former participant, Chukwude Stephen.

In a proper petition dated February 9, 2026, and signed by his authorized consultant, the participant accused the Uyo-based membership of intentionally defaulting on fee obligations regardless of an earlier ruling by the NFF arbitration physique.
In line with the letter addressed to the Secretary of the NFF PSAC, Akwa United failed to satisfy an agreed fee deadline of December 31, 2025, although the debt has been excellent for greater than 12 months.
