Operatives of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) connected to the Kano State Command have arrested 5 officers of Katsina Inner Income Officers for his or her alleged involvement in N1.3 billion fraud.

The spokesman of the anti-graft company, Dele Oyewale, who confirmed their arrest in Abuja on Monday, gave the amount of cash allegedly diverted by the suspects as N1,294,337,676.53k.
Oyewale mentioned they have been arrested following a petition from the Katsina state authorities, which alleged that the suspects colluded and diverted the sum.
In accordance with him, the sum was accrued to the state authorities’s coffer from the World Well being Group, Medicins Sans Frontiers and Alliance for Worldwide Medical Motion (ALIMA).
He defined, “Preliminary investigation by the fee confirmed that Rabiu Abdullahi, a former Director of Collections of the Board and present Everlasting Secretary of the Board approved the opening of a checking account within the identify of ‘BOIRS’ at Sterling Bank the place he allegedly designated Sanusi Mohammed Yaro, Director of Income Account and Ibrahim M. Kofar Soro as sole signatories to the account.
