Mikel Obi talks about Mudryk failing a drugs test

Nigerian football legend Mikel Obi shared his thoughts on Mykhailo Mudryk’s failed drugs test last month.

Mudryk, who plays for Chelsea, reportedly failed a drugs test, meaning that Mudryk (Mikel Obi) failed a drugs test. There was a lot of discussion on social media. The winger struggled to get a regular place in the team, which made his situation worse.

Despite the positive doping test result, Mudryk defended his explanation for the situation.

Reflecting on his time at Chelsea, Mikel Obi spoke about how players must be careful about what they put into their bodies. Mikel said on the Obi One podcast: “I hope Mudrick and his family are innocent. As a player, when I’m offered something, I always ask what it is. I take responsibility for what I eat and consume. But for now, Mudrick is innocent until proven guilty.”

Mikel also said that while at Chelsea, he was offered performance-enhancing drugs by teammates but he always refused.

If Mudrick is found guilty, he could face a ban of up to four years. The first Chelsea player to test positive for doping in a long time.
